I love the scripture at the beginning of the book.
Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

I loved Willow because I was a widow at a young age also and I could really relate to her and her trials. I also lost my son at the same time so I also could identify with Miss Hatitie having lost her daughter and husband. My father passed away after an extended illness, so from page one God used this book to talk to me. It was a truly wonderful, heart tugging experience for me. I was able to learn as well as relive some of the exact feelings expressed in the book.
I was a little lost at times since I have not yet read the first 3 books in the Series, but the story
can stand on its own.
I would give this book a 5 out of 5 and will read it again.
